1984 Jaguar XJS "AJ6" Factory Test, and Demo Car

This is a truly rare find here...
This is  1984 Jaguar XJS Coupe with the "AJ6" 6-Cylinder engine, and a 5-speed manual transmission...

Yes this baby has a clutch, and it was done at the factory...
Complete details will be forthcoming, but from what we are able to tell this car is one of only 179 ever produced, and one of only 25 ever sent to the US through factory distribution... The is not a "Grey Market" or privately imprted vehicle...

Here is the "Money" Shot...you ever seen one???

The color is Antelope Bronze
The Interior is Doeskin Leather with blond burlwood

Even though this car is 26 years old it looks fresh like it was babied and cared for all it's life...

  1. I have the same car which is the midst of a restoration and was confused that the VIN (all matching numbers)indicates a car manufactured for the US and not a grey market car even though "officially" the manual transmission AJ6s were not imported into the US until later.
Am desperate to learn more about the provenance of these rare cars and any additional info would be much appreciated!!!
